DENTON, Carol Daisy Florence - age 79, of Kingston, NS, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on April 13, 1944, in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Philip L. and Laura M. (Banks) Johnson. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her sons, Troy (Pam), Moncton, NB, Trevor (Joyce), Kingston, NS; grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Ocean, and great grandchildren, Khloe, Landan, Dominic, and Luc; sister, Susan (Roy) Balcom, Grand Prairie, Alberta; brother, Michael Johnson, British Columbia; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carol was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard E. Denton and son, Matthew in infancy.

Carol was a past member of the Torbrook Mines United Church and the Sandy Cove church. She loved to read, knit, and work in her gardens. Carol loved her family, family gatherings and everything life had to offer. She was well known for her tearful goodbyes and her never ending supply of jujubes.

In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place. There was no visitation. A private graveside service and interment for both Carol & her husband Richard (who passed away on February 27, 2018), took place at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Hillcrest Cemetery, Little River, Digby County, NS. Pastor Kelly Tidd officiated.
