Marshall, Carol Lee ~ 80 of Nictaux, NS passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2023. Born in Canning, N.S, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Morine) Smith.

Beyond a strong, caring, self-less mother and wife, she was the epitome of kindness. Whether nourishing a plant back to life, making cookies for various community members or simply being a listening ear.

In her earlier years as a Home Economics Teacher at Middleton Regional High School, she found passion in sharing kindness and love through baking, cooking and crafting. Later as the backbone of her husband, Wayne Marshall's Plumbing & Heating business, she took comfort and pride in helping to support clients.

Carol loved the outdoors, whether camping in her former years or as of late sharing a labor of love through her garden and routinely feeding birds with admiration.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Marshall, Nictaux, N.S; sons, Eric, Nictaux, N.S; Terence (Sandra), Nictaux, N.S.; daughter, Joellen (Kurtis), Aylesford, N.S.; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Carley, Hali, Jameson. Also surviving are her sisters; June (Eero) Halinen, Peggy (Albert) Schaffner, Audrey Pearle, and sister in law, Theresa (Douglas) Grandy, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Dwayne; brother Edward; sister Doris.

In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend a graveside service for Carol and Wayne that will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, in Nictaux Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Milne officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the Nictaux Fire Hall. All are welcome. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
