Carole Louisa Allen

Carole Louisa Allen, age 83, of Greenwood, NS, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on October 19, 2026, at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton.

Born January 5, 1943, to Walter and Louisa (Nevin) Clark, Carole grew up in Brandon, Manitoba and later worked various civilian roles in the Department of National Defence. Carole loved photography, sewing, and crafting of all kinds, and was known for her loving, generous spirit and indomitable will.

Carole is survived by her sons, Shawn Allen and Doug Allen; her daughter-in-law, Melanie Allen; her granddaughters, Stephanie Allen, Lauren Allen, and Chelsea Allen; her grandson, Ewan Allen; her brother, Greg Clark and his wife Shelly; sister, Andrea Wood and her husband Dennis; sister-in-law, Shelly Clark; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and countless good friends. Carole is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harold “Spike” Allen; her son, Daniel Allen; and her brother, Bruce Clark.

A celebration of life will be held this spring; exact time and location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA, MS Canada, Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation, Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association (WETRA) or the charity of your choice.
