Obituary

VEINOTT (Pierce), Carolyn Freda – age 76 of Torbrook Mines, NS, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, at home. Born in England she was a daughter of the late Archie and Vera (Byles) Pierce. Carolyn was married to the late Richard Veinott, in June 1961. Over the next four years, they had three children: Freda Lambert of Cochrane, Alberta; Brian Veinott of Torbrook Mines; and Todd (Jolanna) Veinott of Cochrane, Alberta. Carolyn had four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Amberlyn, Aiden and Tianna. She also had two great-grandchildren, Avery and Jax. Memories of Carolyn will be carried on as she will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters: Russell Pierce of Victoria Vale; Lester and his wife, Charlotte of Meadowvale; Ray and his wife, Elizabeth of Sarnia, Ont.; Keith of Windsor; Michael of Victoria Vale; Scott of Forest Glade; Noreen and her husband, Michael Fallis of Kingston; Linda of Kingston; and many nieces and nephews. Ma loved to read, knit and watch English Royal history (docs.) on the big screen. She enjoyed science fiction, especially the Star Trek series and especially John Luc Picard, LOL. When the weather was good in spring, summer or fall, mom enjoyed sitting outside amongst the flowers with an ice cold drink or a hot cup of tea. When mom was mobile, Frenchy's was the thing to do. She loved to sort and try things on. Sometimes it was a 1-2 hour stop. Mom's mind was sharp to the end, but her body was very weak and tired. On Thursday afternoon, May 3rd., God took her home to be with all she knew and loved who went before her over the years. Besides her parents, Carolyn was predeceased in death by her sister, Joyce; and brother, Melvyn. Our tears may fall and our hearts may ache, but our memories of you will always be great. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in North Kingston Cemetery. To sign the online guest book please visit: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
