FREEMAN, Catherine Pearl — age 96 of Kingston, NS passed away peacefully Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS. Born in Kingston, NS, she was a daughter of the late Frank Lovett and Annie Laurie (Woodworth) Pierce. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Rev William A Freeman in 1990 .She was a loving wife and mother of 11 children, 44 grandchildren and 81 great grandchildren.. She leaves a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ to all who knew her. Surviving are daughters Gloria Deas, North Carolina, Elizabeth (Walter) Mitchell, British Columbia, Pearl (Bruce) Marritt, New Brunswick, Grace (Alfred) Hartwig, New York State, Lois (Darrell) Foster, Middleton, Cynthia (Jerry) Pastrick, Indiana; sons William (Carol) Freeman, Manitoba, Rodney (Carol) Freeman, British Columbia, Wesley (Joy) Freeman, British Columbia, Charles (Gina) Freeman, Saskatchewan, Daniel (Amy) Freeman, North Carolina. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband; sisters, Edith Chute, Ruth Avery, Lucille Ward; brother, Paul Pierce and 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be 7:00PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, September 1,2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448 where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 with son- in-law Rev. Alfred Hartwig officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Catherine had been a resident of Kennedy's Home for Seniors for the past 7 years.
