Simpson, Catherine Mary – 75, of Lockhartville, Hants Co., passed away peacefully in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Edmonton, AB, she was a daughter of the late Robert William and Elizabeth Ingrahm (Allan) Simpson.

Catherine attended high school at Eastglen in Edmonton, AB. She was a national-level track and field judge. Catherine enjoyed musical theatre and was an avid traveller. She visited many places some of which were Australia, New Zealand, USA, Mexico, Western Europe, China, and South America. Cathy dedicated much of her free time to coaching and cheering on the younger generations of family in their sporting and cultural interests. She rarely missed a volleyball, soccer or hockey game, gymnastics meet, or a school concert.

Surviving are her sister, Shelly Simpson (Carolina), Hantsport; grandson, Sebastian Simpson, Wetaskiwin; niece, Rosaline (Johan) Pakpahan, Calgary and her children, Nadia and Elias; as well as many cousins in Edmonton, Washington, Australia, and Scotland. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Marilyn, Beth, and Audrey; nephews Robert and Davis.
