Obituary

Robicheau, Cecil Adelbert – age 73, of Middleton, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Llewellyn and Thelma (Craig) Robicheau.

Cecil leaves behind an enduring legacy in the community of Middleton and surrounding areas. Hard work was instilled in him from an early age, and he was instrumental in the growth and success of the family business, L.J. Robicheau & Son Fisheries Ltd.

A passionate supporter of local hockey, Cecil played an integral role in the establishment of the Western Valley Minor Hockey Association and the Spartans. From coaching to fundraising, he devoted countless hours to volunteering at the Middleton & District Arena and to supporting the teams that called it home. His love of hockey—and of the rink—lives on through his children and grandchildren.

Cecil was a proud member of the Kinsmen Club for more than four decades, serving as chair of the Kin Centre. He took great joy in cooking, watching television, and spending time at the family cottage on Trout Lake. His dog, Archie, brought him comfort and happiness, as did all of his beloved dogs through the years.

Above all, Cecil loved his family and showed them his love through his dedication to everything in which they were involved. His grandchildren were his absolute delight, and he loved hearing what each and everyone of them were up to, supporting them in any way he could. His generous spirit was larger than life, a reflection of his deep love for family, friends, and community.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol (Frank); sons, Lew (Sarah), Melvern Square; Wendell (Julie), Edmonton; Rick (Charity), Wilmot; and C.J. (Kailey), Middleton; grandchildren, Austin, Lila, Logan, Andy, Emily, Sadie, Elena, Carter, Ryleigh, and Camryn; sisters, Darlene den Hann, Brickton; and Star (Les) Barker, Wilmot; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and his beloved dog, Archie.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law Ted Frank, John den Hann, Derek Frank and sister-in-law Christine Garlick-Griffin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Middleton Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating. A reception will follow the service.
