Uhlman, Cecil Martin, 82 of Middleton died December 9, 2000 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Torbrook Mines, he was a son of the late Martin and Clara (McNayr) Uhlman. He was a member of the St. John's United Church, a veteran of WW II, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #1 and past Noble Grand of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and received his 50 year badge. He was a carpenter by trade with 21 years of service for C.F.B. Greenwood. Surviving are his wife the former Alena Fancy; daughters Gloria (George) Dennis, Comox, BC; Linda (Bob) Boutilier, Nictaux; Marcia (Grant) Edwards, Brampton, ON; sons Martin (Cheryl) Peterborough, ON; Paul (Donna), Nictaux; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by an infant son, sister Minnie Conant, brothers Murray, Roy, Carroll, Mack, Norman, and Percy. He was the last surviving member of his family. Visiting 7-9 Monday, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #1 will conduct their service at 7:00 p.m. and funeral service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday all at the Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Ewen Moase officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Family flowers only. Donations to the Children's Wish Foundation or a charity of choice.
