Obituary

WHYNOT, Cecil Charles – age 55 of Aylesford, NS passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Ralph and Edna LaVaughn (Murphy) Whynot. Cecil worked as a school bus driver for nineteen years and bused Cadets at CFB Greenwood in the summer months. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, in Kingston since 1984. He enjoyed playing computer games as well as darts, but what he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren. Cecil will be deeply missed by his wife, Charlene (Baker); step-daughters Alisha Baker, Kingston; Kimberly Baker (Tyler Bowers), Kingston and Kristen Graves (Tyler) of Digby; grandchildren, Akelha Harvey, Draven Baker, Daniel Baker; Leland Baker; Owen Chesley; Scarlett Bower and step-granddaughter Dakota, mother in law, Judy Ward, brothers in law, Steven Baker, Robert (Dorothy) Baker, Tom Peters sister in law, Sheila (Gary) Blades and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Cecil was predeceased by his son, Cody Swinimer, sister, Ann Peters, Aunt Deborah Murphy and nephew, David Peters. In keeping with Cecil's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the Kingston Legion Branch No. 98, 1472 Veterans Lane, Kingston followed by a reception. Interment will be in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Auburn. Donations in memory may be made to Mid-Valley Palliative Care or the VON Annapolis Valley Branch.
