Obituary

RAWDING, Charles Rufus "Charlie" - age 94 of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Black Rock, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Charles V, and Ethel M. (Thorpe) Rawding. Charlie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a long-time devoted member of the Waterville congregation. He was a well-known watch maker, jeweler and operated the Charles Rawding Scenic Photography Studio. Charlie loved to play the guitar and sing. Surviving are his brother-in-law, William Pochereva, Berwick; niece, Susan (Peter) Burkland, Black Rock/Washington State; nephews, Thomas (Mele) Pochereva, Hawaii; Richard (Susan) Pochereva, British Columbia; several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Altee Pearl Pochereva; step-sister, Rita; step-brothers, Ivor, Robert and Ralph. Burial has taken place in the Berwick Cemetery. A memorial service took place in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Waterville. The family invites all to attend a Memorial Tea and Reception for Charlie from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 15, in the Dining Room at Orchard View Apartments (Grand View Manor) 110 B Commercial St., Berwick. Donations in his memory may be made to the Grand View Manor Recreation Department. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1 (855) 825-3448.
