Charlotte Kathryn Violet Pierce ~ 72 years of Meadowvale, NS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1952 to Harold and Violet (Morrow) Hiltz of Berwick.

Charlotte was married 53 years to Lester and had two children, Chris Pierce and Cheryl Simpson (Troy), Middleton; grandson, Seth Simpson. She was born the 5th of 9 children, Mary (Lloyd Lockwood), Berwick; Butch (Jean Taylor), Hammonds Plains; Marlene (Rob Eisnor); Audrey (Bill Bryner), Middleton; Suzanne (Kenny Wotton), Welsford and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Bill, Earl and Jimmy.

In the fall, Charlotte loved making pickles, jams and jellies which she gave away. She worked at Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick, in administration from the late 1970's to 2016, but any free time was spent with her pony, Keva, the Annapolis County Harness Club and any exhibition or clinic, which may have been happening. Fishing in the Black River was always a huge draw whenever she could get away.  Over the winters, a staggering number of quiet hours were spent creating scenes and pictures with needle point. Charlotte was proud of the awards she won. She loved her pets, dogs Bella and Nova and her cat Bud who was her faithful companion.

In keeping with Charlotte's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later time. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
