Obituary

McMillan, Cherie Darlene – 72, Greenwood, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 in the Valley Hospice, Kentville.  Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Claude Tremere and Vivian Gould. A graduate of West Kings High School, Cherie worked at the Credit Union and Zellers in Ontario and was a bar manager at both 14 Wing Greenwood and the Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Branch No. 98. Cherie loved hummingbirds and crossword puzzles and could often be heard yelling at Steve Murphy on the nightly news. Surviving are daughter Dana Marie (Philip) Burgess, Napanee, ON; son Mark Black, Greenwood; grandchildren Duncan, Ariel, and Bridget Burgess, Napanee, ON, Kalista and Tristan Brown-Black, Kentville; sister Elaine (Michael) Penney, Ontario; brothers Gerard Tremere, Robert Tremere, both of Greenwood, Glenn Thompson (Laticia Ward), Middleton; sister-in-law Valreta Mapplebeck, Edmonton, AB. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Clifford Black; second husband Brian McMillan; brother Kimberly Tremere and step-father Glenn Thompson. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. toll free 1-855-825-3448.
