Obituary

BARTEAUX, Chester "Chet" Leroy – 85 of Lawrencetown, Annapolis County passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Arthur and Florence (Woodbury) Barteaux. Chet was a former truck driver for Thompson's Transfer and TRA Foods. He enjoyed camping for many years, attending heavy draft horse events, a good game of 45's and he was an avid Toronto Blue Jay fan. Chet had that special gift of a keen mind, for remembering special dates in the lives of his family and many friends. He is survived by son Gary (Barb) Lowe, Bridgewater; sisters Audrie Goodwin, Brookside, Halifax Co., Katherine "Kay" (Hans) denHartog, South Williamston, Verna (Gerald) Parker, South Farmington and Vera (Jim) Boylan, West Hill , Ont.; brother Jim (Kathie) Barteaux, Lawrencetown; as well as many nieces and nephews. Chet was predeceased by his wife the former Joan Naugler and son Colin. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. By request, family flowers only.
