Obituary

TKACZ  MacDONALD, Chezza ~ Age 73, of Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born on June 8, 1947, in Oltenstadt, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Czeslaw and Bronislawa (Wlodarczyk) Tkacz. Chezza, her parents being originally from Poland, later immigrating to Canada from Germany in 1950. She worked at the Officers Mess at C.F.B. Greenwood and at Radio Shack/The Source in Val-d'Or, Quebec. For past times Chezza enjoyed sewing, knitting, blueberry picking and spending time with her family and her trusted companion, Skruffie. She loved decorating for Christmas and enjoyed her nativity scenes.  "Kochamy Cię mom" Surviving are her daughter, Jackie (Jamey) Foster, Aylesford East; sons, Daniel, Toronto, Ontario; Herbie, Greenwood; John (Mary Jane), Wilmot; grandchildren, Thomas, Katrina, Benjamin, Makayla, Samantha, Nicholas and Cassie; great granddaughter, Ava; sister, Virginia (Maurice) Angers, Val-d'Or, Quebec; brothers, Brian Tkacz, Kemptville, Ontario; Morris Tkacz, Val-d'Or, Quebec; sisters-in-law, Muriel MacDonald, Pictou; Catherine (David) MacKenzie, Wilmot; brother-in-law, Douglas MacLeod, Stellarton; special cousin, Anna Wlodarczyk, Val-d'Or, Quebec; god children, Michael Angers, Toronto, Ontario; Chester Tkacz, Gatineau, Quebec; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as family in Poland. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert H. "Herb" MacDonald; brother-in-law, Andrew MacDonald; sister-in-law, Margie MacLeod; niece, Sarah Lynn MacDonald; father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Kathleen (MacKenzie) MacDonald. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date in Val-d'Or Cemetery, Quebec.  Donations in her memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Tideview Terrace and Annapolis Valley Home Care for care, compassion and kindness shown to Chezza.
