DOHERTY, Christina Ann ~ Age 54, of Chipman Brook, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on August 10, 1969, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Alice L. (Bent) Scotney. Christina attended West Kings District High School. She had worked for Joe and Sylvia Cogswell for 20 years. Christina was family oriented and was the glue that kept everyone together. She loved to read, was always building things and was a fan of Coronation Street. Surviving are her beloved husband of 34 years, Adrian L. Doherty; daughters, Caitlyn Doherty (Derek Graves), Chipman Brook; Silver Doherty, Kentville; Alyssa Doherty, at home; grandson, Kieran; brother, Steven Scotney, Tremont; several aunts, uncles and cousins; father and mother-in-law, Stewart and Eleanor Doherty, who were like second parents; nieces and nephews on her husband's side; special friends, Carolyn DeEll and Justin Dorey, who she considered family. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Adrianna; a sister in infancy. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, in Black Rock Baptist Church, 1248 Russia Rd., Black Rock.
