Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Christine Ann Chute (nee Morrison), age 64, on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.

Christine was predeceased by her loving parents, James Gilmore Morrison, Ruth Mary Morrison (nee Cross), and by her father-in-law, Reginal William Chute and mother-in-law, Marian Bernice Chute (nee Milbury).

Christine is survived by her loving family – husband, David; children, Katie and Kyle (Morgan); and grandson, Carter, who was the love of her life. She will also be missed by her brother, Ian (Debbie); sister, Leah (Scott); brother, Greg (Sherry); niece, Lindsay (Rob and children); nephews, Ryan (Nicole and children), Travis, Jason (Terri), Corey (Gillian and children), and Michael (Chantal). Christine is also loved and missed by her aunt's Sharon, Julie, Joyce, uncle Rod and so many wonderful and loving cousins.

Christine was a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) at Mountain Lea Lodge in Bridgetown for over 35 years, where she was deeply devoted to those in her care. After retiring, Christine cared for two very special little girls, both of whom she was intensely proud of.

She enjoyed the love of her animals throughout her life and certainly returned that love to her many dogs and cats (most recently Sid and Loki). She had many adventures from traveling all around the world as her father was posted to different parts of the world, but the most special adventures were shared with her beloved grandson Carter, and their days spent tending to "Carters Crops" in the garden.

Christine loved music and knitting, especially Tuesday Night Knit Nights with all the ladies. She possessed a sneaky and mischievous sense of humor, and she never failed to consider others first. Our family cannot fully express our thanks to the doctors and nurses at the QEII Palliative Care and the Cancer Care Program at the Dickson Building for their care of Christine Angels they all are.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, with a private family service to follow at a later date. Donations in Christine's memory can be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or to your local animal rescue shelter. On-line guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
