Ackerson, Christine "Brenda" Sylvia - 73 of Bloomington, Annapolis County passed away Friday, October 4th 2013 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Keswick, NB she was a daughter of the late Robert Y. and Ruth (Heine) Scott. Brenda enjoyed a long career as a medical secretary/receptionist for over 40 years, the majority in the Middleton Medical Clinic. She loved cats, enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. Brenda is survived by her companion of 24 years, Allister Durdle; daughter Heather "Diane" Wornes (Neil), Kingston, Ont.; son Glendon "Daniel" (Tracy), Greenwood, NS; sister Heather (David) Flewelling, Hamilton, Ont.; brothers Eric (Carol) Scott, Maramichi, NB and Steve (Carol) Scott, Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Alysha Wornes, Zachary Ackerson, Haley Wornes and Thomas Wornes. She was predeceased by a son David Darren in infancy and a brother Jeffrey. By request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 8th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9th with Rev.
