BENOIT, Christopher John ~ Age 48, of Lawndale (L.A.) California passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, N.S. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Shelley A.M. Benoit (Kerr). Born on August 14, 1975, in Toronto, Ontario, he is the son of John B. and Jackaline "Jackie" P. (Wiscombe) Benoit, of Aylesford. N.S. and loving father to Bree-Anna.

There were no strangers in Chris' life, he loved everyone equally. He was weirdly humorous (IYKYK) and always found a way to connect with people. Chris was full of compassion, generosity, and tenacity. He was an equally avid hockey player (Cooksville, #19) and fan. His favourite team was the Detroit Red Wings. Chris loved music and enjoyed engaging in Karaoke with his family. He loved to play trivia games, and watch Jeopardy. Chris enjoyed cooking and was a master chef. He worked alongside his wife at the family trucking business, where he was general manager.

Besides his wife, parents and daughter, Bree (Ryan), Truro; He is survived by his sisters, Nicole (Peter) Fletcher of Lower Sackville and Candice Benoit (Steve) of Hamilton, ON. He is the grandson of Gloria Wiscombe of Aylesford and uncle to nieces and nephews; Emily, Hannah, Wynter, Isaac, Katelyn and Emmanuel. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Sally Kerr, California; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chris will be sadly missed by his beloved dogs, Stafford and Bandacoup.

A celebration of his life and interment will take place in Creston, Newfoundland at a future date. Donations in his memory may be made to Salvation Army or S.P.C.A.
