LOWE, Claude Jason ~ Age 81, of Lawrencetown, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by his family. Born in Lawrencetown, he was a son of the late Jason and Elva (Gaul) Lowe. Claude was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He first worked for the Village of  Lawrencetown; he was a home milk delivery driver and then worked for the next 32 years as Maintenance Supervisor with Lawrencetown Consolidated School. Claude enjoyed woodworking making many projects over the years for Marion, the kids and grandchildren. Claude was a retired Captain with the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department having served on the department for 32 years. He was a past member of the Lawrencetown Male Choir and a member of the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church. Claude will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Marion (Whynot); daughters Cindy (Harold) Young, Halifax; Linda (Michael) McKenna, Lawrencetown; Paula (Trevor) Hiltz, Aylesford; sons Scott Lowe, Rankin Inlet, NU; Andy Lowe, West Inglisville; Tony (Tracy) Lowe Hilden, NS; David (Charlene) Lowe, Rankin Inlet, NU; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer(Doug), Michelle (Matthew), Angela, Matthew (Jean), Amy (Caio), Mitchel (Vanessa), Amanda, Becky (Ben), Charlea, Taylor, Mathew (Kaylea), Kyle (Sonya), Olivia, Lance; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Claude was predeceased by his daughter Jill; sisters Rosamond Beals, Lorraine Stillwell, Faye Crowell, Leila Merry, Audrey MacQuarrie, Dorothy Lowe; brother, Arthur Lowe; half-sisters, Elva East and Bernice Naugler. In keeping with Claude's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Saturday, July 7, 2018  in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 from where a memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 8, 2018  with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown.
