Grant, Cyril Cy Burton, 1936-2010 of Nictaux. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Cyril on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at home in Nictaux. Born in Nictaux, Nova Scotia on June 21, 1936, he was the elder son of Percy and Marjorie (Parker) Grant. He leaves to mourn his wife of almost 50 years, Eva (MacDonald) Grant, son, Barry (Fiona); granddaughters, Taylor and Madison, and brother, Warren, several uncles and aunts, cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, many uncles, aunts and cousins. Cy was employed for years as a sales representative for Wood Wyant throughout western Nova Scotia, and was an active member of United Commercial Travelers. He was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Middleton, where he served on Church Council and sang in the choir. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Middleton Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, September 25, 2010 PM, with Rev. Matthew Sponagle, officiating. Burial will be in Old Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Middleton. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Building Fund of Holy Trinity Anglican Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
