LANGILLE, Cyril Douglas - Age 77 of Lawrencetown, NS passed away August 23, 2017 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Born in Barss Corner, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Herbert and Phyllis (Veinot) Langille. Cyril will be remembered as a wonderful caring, husband, father and friend. After retiring from the Department of housing Cyril intensified his love of wood working and with Joy's collaboration they spent many years creating crafts and reclaimed folksy collectables enjoyed by people near and far. His love of country and bluegrass music expanded when at the age of 70 he learned to read music and play banjo becoming a regular at local jams with his trade mark red suspenders.He is survived by his wife, the former Joy (Starratt), daughter; Jacqueline Langille ( Daniel Arsenault ), Hamilton, Ont. son; Stacey Langille ( Cindy Illsley), Margaretsville, NS, sister; Roselie (Jean) Gignac, Halifax, brothers; Rev. Leon (Brenda) Langille, Brooklyn, Eric (Judy) Langille, Wolfville, Paul (Margaret) Langille, Brooklyn and grand dogs; Mulligan and Blueberry. Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448.There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
