Obituary

O'Hara, Cyril Warner – Age 95 of Truro, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Parkland Estates, Truro and formerly of Port George. Born in Drum Head, he was a son of the late Roland and Greta (Latham) O'Hara and was the last surviving of his immediate family.  Cyril retired from the Halifax Dockyard after 32 years of service.  He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a fantastic grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather as well as a good friend to many, many friends.

Cyril is survived by daughters, Nadean (Dick) O'Hara, Lake Placid, FL; and Brenda (Michael) Shevery, Pembroke, NS; grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Sutherland; and Terry (Lacey) Shevery; great-grandchildren Bria, Allie, Cassie and Carter; and great-great-granddaughter, Charlie-Mae; and many nieces and nephews.

Cyril was predeceased by his wife, Muriel (nee Giffin); and his great-grandson, Colby in infancy; also his parents, Roland & Greta O'Hara; his brother, Keith O'Hara; his sisters, Iona O'Hara and Jennie Hirtle.

Memorial Donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service by invitation only was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17, in Hillside Cemetery, Port George, with Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating.
