FREDERICKS, Dallas Ammon – age 85, of Torbrook, Annapolis County, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018. Born is Annapolis County on January 3rd, 1933 he was a son of the late Willard and Ella Mae (Veinot) Fredericks. Dallas had worked with Nixon's Monuments in Nictaux Falls, Soil Tec and as ground keeper at the Nictaux Baptist Church. He enjoyed the wilderness, hunting, fishing and watching old movies. Dallas had a love for all living creatures; he had a love for dogs and occasionally he would bring home an abandoned raccoon or raven to care for until it was able to survive on its own. He liked a good laugh and loved telling stories about himself and his hunting buddies from back in the day. Dallas is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Alice, Torbrook; daughter, Paulette (Bill) Johnston, Margaretsville; son, Dean (Rachel), Wilmot; and son, Dallas Jr. (Sandra), Torbrook; sisters, Doreen Hiltz, Springhill; Frances Shaw, Nictaux; Donna (Mervin) Boyd, Wilmot; Diane (Eddy) Harvey, Dartmouth; LaVerne (Martie) Grant, Nictaux West; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Ella Mae, infant brothers, James Robert, Roger Willard and sister, Zelpha Marie. The family would like to express a special thank you to his son Dallas Jr. for always being there to help him. There will be visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, February 25, in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St. (902) 825-3448 from where there will be a Funeral Service 2:00 pm Monday, February 26th with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in the Torbrook Mines United Cemetery. Donations in Dallas's memory can be made to a Torbrook Baptist Church.
