SANFORD, Dalton Brian-72, Brier Island. Born January 28, 1942, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Gladys (Baldridge) Sanford and brother Herman. He is survived by his loving partner Audrey Stevens, sons Chris (Heather) Lunn and Terry (Effie) Lunn. Sisters Myrna and Colette; brother Derek; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and extended family. He was a loving, kind man who will be sadly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and Doctors of the ICU at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Arden and Jane Derby, Westport Fire Department, EHS Paramedics and Digby General Hospital Emergency Staff for all their kindness that has helped us through this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19th in the Westport Baptist Church Vestry, Pastor Trevor Longmire officiating. Interment will be in the Woodside Cemetery, Westport. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
