BERNARD, Daniel Leo ~ Age 92, of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully at home, Friday July 7, 2023. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Daniel and Marion (Chisholm) Bernard. Dan served 231/2 years as a Military Police Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was an active member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and a member of the choir. One of his favorite things to do was to help serve weekday masses. Dan loved his family dearly and especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was married to his loving wife, Grace for 71 years. Besides his wife, Dan will be sadly missed by his daughters, Adele (Jeff) Taylor, Melvern Square; Marion (Greg) Bernard-Nauss, Dartmouth; sons, Bruce Bernard, Wilmot; Daniel Paul (Joanne) Bernard, Dartmouth; Brian (Franca) Bernard, Caledon, ON; Keith Bernard, Lawrencetown; Michael (Diane) Bernard, Wilmot; Kevin (Debbie) Bernard, Burlington, ON; brothers, Richard Bernard, Spryfield; Frank (Valerie) Bernard, British Columbia; James (Betty) Bernard, Spryfield; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and another on the way; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by, son John; grandson, David; sister, Adele; brothers, Willis, Joseph, and George. In keeping with Dans' wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, 41 Connaught Avenue, Middleton with Father Michael Walsh officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Donations in Dan's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
