Obituary

Hillgartner, Daniel Grant – 55, of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at home. Born in Mississauga, ON, he was a son of Barbara (Smith) Bonney, Oakville, ON and the late John "Bruce" Hillgartner.
As an electrician, Dan began his business almost 30 years ago.  Working tirelessly to complete projects to perfection. He built a large, dedicated client base over the years. Dan was always a trouble shooter, able to solve almost any problem put in front of him. He would get frustrated if it took too long for his mind to solve it. He would always persevere.
Dan was a man who loved to cook and was extremely good at it.  He would whip up delicious meals, never from a recipe, just from his own creativity. Though he was very shy about admitting how good he was.
More than a loving husband, Dan was there for his wife Stefanie every step of the way with patience and understanding. Gone but Never forgotten, Dan will always be in our hearts.
Surviving is his wife, Stefanie Dekoos, Springfield; sister Terry (Al) Vasconcelos, Oakville; brother Greg, Mississauga; nieces Sarah, Calgary; and Emily, Oakville; as well as many extended family members.
