Obituary

It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Daniel "Danny" Leslie Taylor, age 68 of Wilmot, on April 24, 2021, due to a motor vehicle accident. Danny was born in Clarence on August 27, 1952, to the late Robert and Idella (Grant) Taylor. Danny was a fun-loving man who enjoyed being where all the excitement was. He made friends everywhere he went and considered himself a good judge of character. At a young age, Danny attended Annapolis Regional Vocational School and later earned his 1 st Class Stationary Engineer and Refrigeration ticket, something for which he was extremely proud. He began his career as a Stationary Engineer with Michelin and later moved on to Chief Engineer at Britex, until its closure. After working for a short period of time at Louisiana Pacific in East River, Danny returned home to the Valley to finish out his 46-year career at 14 Wing Greenwood as a Power Engineer. "Dan, Dan the Boiler Man" as he was affectionately called, loved spending time with his grandchildren, who loved him dearly and were his prized possessions.  He enjoyed attending horse pulls and exhibitions, music festivals and camping. He was always looking for fun and adventure. His presence will be greatly missed by his friends and his family. Danny will be missed by his wife Dorothy (Cropley); his daughters, Kerri (Stephen) Fullerton, Weston and Amy (Terry) Evans, Wilmot; his son, Scott (Beth) Bent, Bridgetown; his beloved grandchildren, Colby, Colton (Carlena), and Allyson Evans and Brody and Carson Fullerton who will miss their "Grampy Dee/Bankie". He also leaves behind brothers, Wayne, Bridgetown and Ricky (Norma) Middleton, sisters, Alberta Spurr, Bridgetown and Debbie (Raymond) Fiske, Middlefield, Queens Co.; sisters-in-law, Sandy Taylor, Bridgewater; Linda Taylor, West Paradise; and Barb Wiles, Moschelle; and brother-in-law Ralph Bent, Mountain Lea Lodge; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, David and Garnie; sister, Gert Bent; brother, Blair in infancy and his brother-in-law, Kendall Spurr. Danny, your memory will always be in our hearts. We loved you in life and will love you in death. May you rest in peace. In keeping with Danny's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in the Paradise Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Legassie officiating.
