BENEDICT, David Harland ~ age 54, of New Albany.  It is with sadness and heartache that we announce the peaceful passing of David Harland Benedict on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in the arms of his wife, Karla. Born in Windsor, David was the youngest of three children of the late Harland and Lorraine (Cooper) Benedict. Besides his wife, Karla, David will be greatly missed by his children, who he loved dearly, Jake, Jonathan and Danielle; grandchildren, Tyson and Tala; sister, Joanne (Fred) States and brother, Larry; as well as his nieces and nephews. David was a carpenter who was forced to retire early due to health issues, but kept busy at home working on projects. He was happiest when he was covered head to toe in sawdust and tracking it throughout the house. David was a kind and gentle soul with a big heart and the first to lend a hand to others when needed. Cremation has taken place and at David's request there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Atlantic Division or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
