BENJAMIN, David Wayne ~ age 71 of Berwick, NS passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Albert Edward, Sr. and Cathleen "Kay" (Cooper) Benjamin. David had retired from Avon Foods in Berwick as a fork lift operator. He loved fishing, fixing things and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. David loved chatting on his CB radio and was known to everyone he talked to as "Bumper Jack". He enjoyed riding his tractor and taking his grandchildren for rides. David enjoyed helping his neighbours with landscaping projects and hanging with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Abby Johnstone; daughters, Amanda Benjamin (Les Mitchell), Berwick; Jennifer Benjamin (Glen Difford), Berwick; sons, David (Holly) Benjamin, Berwick; Lawrence (Crystal) Benjamin, Morristown; sisters, Judith Benjamin, Berwick; Darlene (Howard) Selig, Alberta; brothers, Albert "Junior" (Mary) Benjamin, Lakeville; William Benjamin, Berwick; Garnet Benjamin, USA; Michael Benjamin, Black Rock; Peter Benjamin, Kentville; Paul Benjamin, Kentville; Douglas Benjamin, Greenwood; Kenneth Benjamin, Berwick; grandchildren, Zayden Huntley; Keith Mitchell; Landon MacKenzie; Xavier Huntley; Trevor Benjamin; Jasper Difford and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Lynda. In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the Berwick & District Fire Hall, 300 Commercial Street at 12:00pm. All are welcome. Donations in memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
