David Franklyn
Hall
October 9, 1945 – February 24, 2022
Hall, David Franklyn – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. At the age of 76, Dave passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 24, 2022, with his loving wife of 51 years by his side. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Ethel Hall; brothers in law, Russell, Jack, Raymond and Mike; sisters in law, Janet (Ted), Diane (Raymond), and Paula (Donald). He will be forever missed by his wife Norma (Keddy); daughters, Kim (Derrick) Maskell, Tanya (Brad) Avery, Susanne (Devon) Fifield. Cherished grandchildren, David & Adam, Brady & Brooke, Julia, Lily & Reid; siblings, Donald & Susan (Fred) Weidhaas; brothers in law, Ted, Murray (Lorraine); sisters in law, Kay (Shirley) Karen & Debbie; special aunt, Minnie Wentzell.
Dave and Norma raised their family in Sackville, NS while working in the heavy equipment industry. Dave and family created cherished memories at their family cottage and visits to the valley. He took an interest in racing stock cars and enjoyed fishing and hunting with the boys. Dave retired in the valley where he spent countless hours renovating the Keddy home, working in the woods, tinkering in the garage, going on fishing trips and playing games of 45's, crib, crokinole and washer toss with family and friends (where he usually was the winner!). Dave was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was a quiet and humble man but was known for his pranks and sense of humor. His pride and joy was his time spent with his kids and grandkids.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a family graveside service at a later date. Donations in memory of Dave can be made to a charity of choice. Sharing memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.middletonfuneralhome.com
