KILCUP, David Edward - 74, Windermere, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2013, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Edward and Donzella (Crocker) Kilcup. David was a retired manager of the N.S.L.C., Berwick, with 29 years of service. He was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, where he was a past deacon and had served on several boards including Trustees and Finance. David was a member and past master of Valley Lodge No. 90, A.F. & A.M. Berwick. He was a veteran member of the Berwick & District Volunteer Fire Department, with 25 years of service and 17 years in the position of Treasurer. David was a member of the Berwick & District Fire Commission, volunteer at Crosbie House and was on the Board of Directors for the Berwick Food Bank, Fidelis House and the Windermere Community Club. Surviving are his wife, of 54 years, Sharon A. (Foster) Kilcup; daughters, Cathy (John Inkpen) Kilcup, Halifax; Carol (Robert) Bezanson, Berwick; sons, Edward "Ted" (Lois) Kilcup, Ottawa, Ont.; Gordon (Patricia) Kilcup, Coldbrook; Michael (Martha) Kilcup, Prince Albert, Sask.; grandchildren, Jason Noseworthy; Angela (Steven) Bentley; Brenna Bezanson; Craig, Brittany, Jessica, Mikaela and Cortney Kilcup; great- grandchildren, Mattia and Dexter Bentley; Cameron Dupuis. In keeping with David's wishes his remains have been donated to the Department of Medical Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Friday in the annex of the Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick., beginning with a Masonic Tribute at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 5, in the Berwick Baptist Church. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating, with a reception to follow. Burial in the Berwick Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Berwick & District Volunteer Fire Department or to the Berwick Food Bank.
