David Michael Longley's Obituary

LONGLEY, David Michael – age 48, of Lawrencetown, NS passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS surrounded by his family. Born in Middleton, he was a son of Frank and Carole (Martyn) Longley, Lawrencetown. David was employed with RONA Cash & Carry in Kingston for a number of years as an estimator. He loved the outdoors, playing guitar, taking photographs and drawing. He enjoyed watching hockey and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. David was a devoted father and loved his children dearly. He will be sadly missed by daughter Nicole; son Nathan and their mother Nancy Vanasse, North Williamston; parents Frank and Carole (Martyn) Longley, Lawrencetown; brothers, Frank (Kim) Longley, Owen Sound, ON and Ken (Alison) Longley, Surrey, BC; nieces and nephews Josh, Jayme, Julian and Emily. David was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Egbert and Margaret Martyn; paternal grandparents Alan and Blanche Longley; brother Neil Robert and sister Linda Louise, both in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00PM Friday, March 10, 2017 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown.
