WARD, David Cecil-Aged 76 of Paradise, NS passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at home. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Cecil and Violet (Brimblecombe) Ward. David was a local landscaper and a school bus driver for over 30 years. His favourite pastime was plowing and mowing fields with his " beloved" tractor. David loved his family dearly especially tormenting his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, the former Miriam Clarke; daughter, Heather (Kevin) Veinott, Nictaux; son, Wendell (Amanda) Ward, Halifax; sisters, Daphne Rudolph, Paradise; Dianne (Russell) Bowlby, Greenwood; Jeannette (Lane) Myers, Greenwood; Barbara (Peter) Hoskings, Dartmouth; Shirley Mathieson (Bruce Hayes), Ottawa; Audrey Jarrette, Aurora, Ontario; brother, John Ward, Bridgetown and grandchildren, Leah, Alex and Lily. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Roselyn and brothers, Edgar and Robert. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating.
