WHEELER, David Franklin – 74, of Factorydale, Kings Co., passed away suddenly at home Sunday, November 20, 2022. Born in Berwick, he was the only son of the late Merle and Olive (Stingel) Wheeler. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #98, Kingston, NS. David worked at Larsen Packers Ltd. For 38 years, then spent several years with Orchard View Farms until health problems forced him to retire. David loved to golf and spent the last couple years getting in as many rounds as possible usually with his brother-in-law and good friend, Glen Carver and friends, Brian and Linda Keddy. He enjoyed darts for many years until COVID caused the shut down. He played softball for many years. David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helga (Joudrey) Wheeler; daughter, Deidra Nicole DeEll, New Minas and son, Gregory Paul (Cathy Whitman), Middleton; grandsons, Kyle DeEll (Rebecca Trimm), Factorydale, Grayson Wheeler, Middleton; granddaughters, Haley and Kristen Wheeler, Middleton; son-in-law, Alan DeEll, Factorydale. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 25 ^th at the Morristown Baptist Church. Rev. Chad Clements officiating. A reception will follow in the Morristown Community Centre. A private family interment will take place in Morristown Cemetery.
