Obituary

ZWICKER, David Larry - 56, of Bloomington, Annapolis County, died Sunday , June 1, 2014 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton on March 3, 1958, he was the youngest son of the late Harold and Eldora (Vidito) Zwicker. An outdoorsman by nature, David's interests included fishing and hunting, and he especially enjoyed long rides on his Harley-Davidson. He had a special bond with his mother, to whom he devoted 30 years of his life, after the death of his father in 1979. David is survived by brothers Russell (Jean), North Alton, Lionel (Judy), Bloomington, Ralph (Kathleen) Chateauguay, Quebec, Carl (Liz) Williamsburg, Ontario, sisters Audrey Pearle, Wilmot, and Barbara Zwicker (Ralph Welsh), Toronto. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, and various long-time friends. Many thanks to Karen MacLean, Earle and Ellen Saunders, and to lifetime friend and companion Debbie Morse, for all their help and support, especially during his time of illness. At David's request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service. A gathering for family and friends will be held Sunday, June 8th at the Nictaux Fire Hall from 2-4 p.m.. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
