February 16, 1961 – October 15, 2024
February 16, 1961 - October 15, 2024
Deborah Gaul, 63, died at Kentville Valley Regional Hospital with her parents by her side. She was the eldest daughter to parents William and Zillah Gaul. Born on February 16, 1961, in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada and passed away on October 15, 2024 after a brief but courageous battle with Cancer, in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Debbie was a devoted mother to her two sons, David and Graig, and a loving grandmother of her four grandchildren. She was also a loving sister to Sherry and Todd.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Debbie found joy in hiking with her dogs and spending time in her beloved vegetable garden. She had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of nature and her cherished moments. One of her favourite hobbies that she found later in life was Maple syrup. She looked forward to the season every year and not a Christmas went by that a friend or family member wasn't gifted a bottle. Her loving spirit extended beyond her family; she was a dedicated volunteer firefighter and paramedic, serving her community with honor and commitment. Additionally, she shared her skills as a swimming instructor, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.
Debbie was known for her compassionate nature, especially towards animals, and her home was always filled with love and laughter. She will be remembered not only for her contributions to her community but also for the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her parents, children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
As per Debbie's wishes, a private family service will be held. No visitation. Donations in Deborah's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
