Gates-Morash, Deborah "Deb" Jane- Age 72 of Middleton, Annapolis Co., passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, peacefully at home. Born September 8, 1951 in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruby (Baker) Gates. Deb worked at Mountain Lea Lodge for 6 years then went to vocational school and received her Certified Nursing Assistant Course and worked in Neurosurgery in Halifax QEII V.G. Site Hospital for 26 years. Deb is survived by family, Carl and Lorraine Gates, Robert and Tanya Gates, Tanya Gates, Bruce and Betty Gates, Jeff and Alana Gates, Karen Gates and Patrick Tremblay; extended cousins and their families, Philip Gates, Arthur Gates, Marilyn Lightfoot, Greg Gates, Brian Gates, Hazel Lee Richard; aunt, Marion Chute. Besides her parents Deb was predeceased by her husband, Weldon Morash; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. Middleton toll free: 1-855-825-3448. A graveside service will take place for family and close friends in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. Rev. Deann Carter officiating.
