TAYLOR (Wilkins), Delma Althine – age 105, passed away peacefully September 8, 2020 at Grand View Manor, Berwick. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Manor for their excellent care. Born January 9, 1915 in Wilmot to her parents Bessie (McGinnis) and Norman Wilkins. Mother was the last remaining member of her family. Delma's career was as a registered nurse and she did it with such caring and grace, every patient received her undivided attention. Although required to retire at 65 she continued to work (part time) until she was 72. Delma was a member of the Kingston United Church and a pillar of the community of Wilmot. She helped with inoculating kids at the school, to doing lunches for the card parties at the hall; always working quietly behind the scenes. Surviving family are son, David (Marion), Riverview, NB; Pete (Bonnie), Vernon BC; Connie (Allyn), Melvern Square; grandchildren, Jana, Colleen, Andrew, Jonathan, Pam, Michael, Stephen, Neil, Doug, 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter; brothers, Orin (Dorothy), Elvin (Ruth) and Normie; also beloved grandson, Mark Taylor. In keeping with Delma's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in the Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot with Rev. Dr. Christine Marie Gladu officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Kingston United Church.
