Obituary

KINSMAN, Diane Lynn ~ Age 65, of Welsford, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at home. Born on February 10, 1959, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Cyril E. and Ruth L. (Hamilton) Kinsman.

Diane had attended Somerset Elementary School, was a graduate of Central Kings Rural High School, Cambridge and had taken a business course at Kingstec Community College, Kentville. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for her brother's business, Kinsman Construction, Welsford. Diane was an avid reader, enjoying sewing and quilting. She was interested in genealogy of the Kinsman and Hamilton families as well as the history of Nova Scotia.

Surviving are her son, Nathan Kinsman (Anna Bakanec), Westlock, Alberta; grandchildren, Tie (Shayla) and Katie; brother, David (Janice) Kinsman, Welsford; sisters, Faye (Wayne) Corbin, Welsford; Janet (Bill) Lightfoot, Kentville; several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her good friends, Anne McKenna and Mary Harrison, who she spoke with frequently.

There will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Andrew Conrad officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, at a later date.
