CHASE, Donald Allen "Don" ~ Age 86, of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on July 13, 1936, in Berwick, he was a son of the late Allen P. and Norma E. (Morse) Chase. Donald had worked at various jobs including farming. He was an adherent of Berwick Baptist Church. Donald liked hunting, fishing and hours spent in his garden. He and his late wife enjoyed television bingo, curling and square dancing. Donald cherished the time spent with his grandchildren during their summer visits. Surviving are daughter, Jocelyn (the late Daniel) Chabot; sons, Randall "Randy" Chase, both of Berwick; Derrick (Tammy) Chase, Kentville; grandchildren, Joella (Ben Windsor) Chabot, Red Deer, Alberta; Jonathan Chabot, Berwick; sisters, Sandra (Bob Lunn), Windsor; Phyllis (the late Alfred Bezanson), Wilmot; brothers, Bruce (Faye) Chase, Windermere; Rickey (Rosemary Budgell) Chase, Berwick; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 54 years the former Alva L. Greenlund; daughter, Brenda Lee Chase; son, Gregory David Chase; sister, Maxine Chase. There was no visitation and a private graveside service took place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, in Berwick Cemetery, with Rev. Andrew Conrad officiating.
