CONROD, Donald Patrick ~ Age 82, of Berwick, Kings Co., passed away peacefully with his partner by his side, on April 26, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late James and Anne (Dunavon) Conrod, and step father Wes Veal. Don served in the military for several years. He was an avid coin and stamp collector. He enjoyed prospecting for years and would spend hours looking for treasures with his metal detector. Don loved his four legged companion "Patches". Don is survived by his common-law spouse, Donzella McGill; daughters, Stephanie Faubert; Dawn Patricia (Robert) Wallace, Dartmouth; son, Stephen; step-children, Barb (Herb) Evans, Millville; Ronda (Leslie) Bent, Tupperville; Troy McGill, Kingston; sisters, Fran Rudolph, Sheri Conrod, both of Dartmouth; Judi Santana, Dominican; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, "Tiger". He was predeceased by a son, Christopher; brother, Ralph; step-daughter, Virginia Joudrey; nephew, Wayne Rudolph. As per Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Donations in his memory may be made to Morristown Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
