HALLIDAY, Donald James ~ Granville Beach, Annapolis Co., N.S. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald James Halliday, at the age of 67, of Granville Beach on July 27th, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Frank and Gladys (Turbitt) Halliday of Granville Beach. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by twin sister, Dorothy; baby sister, Alice. Dear brother to Frank Jr., Granville Beach; William (Kathie Macnab), Halifax; Joan (Roland Halliday) Lower Sackville; Steven (Sheila MacIssac) Dartmouth, Joyce (Grant Halliday), Granville Beach.  Dear uncle of Andrew Halliday, Dartmouth, Michelle Halliday, Lower Sackville; Christina (Dean Arbuckle), Eastern Passage and Kimberly, Bridgewater. Great uncle to Shayna and Janelle, Lower Sackville. Loving stepdaughter, Nicole Wiles, Granville Beach; stepson, Justin Wiles, Port George; and beloved Pup to Chanelle and Dakota. Loyal longtime friend of 53 years, Morris Gregory. Also special thanks to Wanda for being at his side to the end. Donald lived his whole life in and around Granville Beach only going away for work purposes. He was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing, hunting, and exploring any chance he could get. He will forever be remembered for his mastery of Jams and Apple Pie. He was truly blessed with an abundance of friends all around and will surely be missed by all.  RIP Bro. Interment will be in the Halliday Cemetery, Granville Beach. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
