In Loving Memory of Donna Evelyn Arsenault (Yetman)

September 14, 1963~ December 23, 2023.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a truly extraordinary woman, Donna Evelyn Arsenault. She departed this world surrounded with love, grace, and courage on December 23, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and a lifetime of selfless dedication to her family and her community.

She was a devoted wife to her Husband, Joseph, for 20 wonderful years. They shared a love that endured through thick and thin. An amazing mother, Donna considered her daughter Ashley to be her proudest accomplishment. Their bond was a testament to the love and care that defined Donna's life. She was a wonderful stepmother to her Stepsons, Thomas, and Benjamin.

Donna was a pillar of strength and support. Her family was her most precious treasure, and she radiated warmth and compassion in every role she played. She is deeply loved and missed by her family: Mother, Betty, husband; Joseph, children: Ashley (Jeromey) Thomas and Benjamin, Brothers: Hollis Jr. (Lynn), Dwayne (Judy Harvey) Nephew And Nieces, Justin, Hillary ( Zac) and Dayna (Aaron). She was Auntie Fab to her only great niece Anna. She leaves to mourn a large family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Donna is predeceased by her by her father, Hollis who was a true inspiration to her life.

Donna embarked on a tremendous career as a nurse, dedicating 33 years to the noble profession. In 1983, she graduated from the Western Regional School of Nursing in Corner Brook, NL, a milestone she achieved by registering on her 17th birthday. In 1991, she moved to Goose Bay, and became an integral part of the Old Melville Hospital, where her coworkers became a second family. Her career was marked by a bright light of compassion and professionalism, especially in the emergency department and during medivac air transportation. Donna touched countless lives during their most vulnerable moments, leaving an indelible mark of comfort and care.

As a woman of Labrador, she carried her heritage with pride and her love for her home was unwavering. Donna is Known for her friendship, amazing soul, big heart, and a smile that could light up a room. Donna brought positive energy and a sense of adventure wherever she went. Her impact on others was immeasurable, and her family took immense pride in her accomplished life and the effect she has had on so many people.

Beyond her profession, Donna found joy in cooking, hosting, and fostering friendships. Her favorite moments were spent with her ladies, The Beavers, where laughter and camaraderie filled the room. Summers at Belle Baie Campground held a special place in her heart, where she cherished beachcombing for sea glass, reveling in sunsets, and creating lasting memories with her husband and Belle Baie family.

In honoring Donna's, warrior strength and determination, let us remember the remarkable woman who touched our lives with love, compassion, and boundless positivity. May her legacy inspire us to live with the same zest for life and dedication to others. A special thank you to Donna's healthcare team, Dr. Smith, Dr. Helyer, Dr. Tweedy, Dr. Southcott and the amazing team of Nurses on 9A, at the Victoria General, who cared for Donna with respect, care and dignity.

A celebration of Donna's life will take place in Goose Bay, Labrador, at a later date.
