Donna Joan
Curry
February 18, 1940 – June 4, 2017
Donna Joan Curry of Montreal, Wilmot and Litchfield, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia
February 18, 1940 – June 4, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Joan Curry on June 4, 2017 at her home in Montreal, after a brief illness. Born in Middleton, NS, she was the eldest daughter of the late Thomas W. and Doris Iva (Gillis) Curry. Donna is survived by her son Jonathan Ross Curry (Ira) Laguna Beach, California; her three sisters Sharon (Doc) MacLeod, Ottawa; Jeannine (Chris) Parker, Wilmot, NS; Mary (John) Armstrong, Granville Beach, NS; brother Ian (Niki) Curry, Granville Beach, NS; her granddaughter, Hunter Curry, age 12 and her grandson, Kaden Curry, age 10, whom she loved dearly. Donna graduated from Middleton Regional High School, attended Dalhousie University, Halifax and for over 30 years worked for Holt Renfrew, Montreal, where she could be found at the Estée Lauder counter, bestowing beauty advice to her many cherished clients; laughing and trading stories with her co-workers. She had a real zest for life. Donna loved her adopted home of Montreal where she embraced the culture, the fashion and the people. Every summer Donna made her way back to Nova Scotia and her "pied a terre" in Litchfield on the Bay of Fundy. Here she restored her health and energy while spending time with her family; always willing to lend a helping hand in the garden or looking after a pampered pet. Donna will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her son, her siblings and her many friends. A funeral service for Donna is being arranged in Montreal. Interment will take place in Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot, NS at a later date. Family and friends will be notified and be invited to attend.
