HINDS, Donna Jeannie - age 63 of Kingston passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at home surrounded by her sister and extended family. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Vera (Gordon) Hinds. Donna was very involved with her community. She was an associate member of Kingston Branch No. 98, Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Red Cross, Annapolis Valley Exhibition, especially Miss Valley Ex pageant, volunteered at the cat animal shelter in Wolfville and a dedicated volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society daffodil campaign. Donna is survived by her sister, Arlene Hinds, Kingston and special friend Thurston Burton, Middleton. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Glendon. A heartfelt thank you to Carolyn and Cleve Crossley, Bill and Carol Faulkner, Jean Dumphy, Shirl and Jerry Sawler, Darlene Bennett, Wendy Banks and all her church family at People's Church 25:40 in Greenwood for all their love and support. A special thank you to Dr. Don Clark and all surgical staff at Valley Regional Hospital as well as the VON and Palliative Care staff for all of their care and compassion. In keeping with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00PM Friday, June 26, 2015 in New Beginnings Centre, 1151 Bridge Street, Greenwood with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. Donations in Donna's memory may be made to the family c/o CIBC Kingston Branch.
