Obituary

Bond, Catherine M. "Donna" (Bryden) passed away on April 30, 2025, in the Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late William and Marjorie (MacIntosh) Bryden.
Donna is survived by Michael, her husband of 57 years; sister, Margaret; brothers, Bill, Kingston; Greg, Sydney; Michael (Sonya), Perth, Aust.; children, David (Whitney), Ottawa, ON; James (Holly), Dartmouth, NS; Tina (Ben) Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Emily, Charlottetown, PEI; Rachel, Michael, Oliver, Alex, all of Ottawa, ON; Rachael and Matthew, Dartmouth, NS; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Anne Ellsworth.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed family get togethers, gardening, reading and cooking. In her early years, she was a member of the RCAF, worked for Sears in Greenwood, and was manager of Pat King Real Estate in Kingston, and also Remax Banner Real Estate in Greenwood, before retiring in 2001. Donna will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025, with Father Michael Walsh officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Monica's Cemetery, Senator St., Middleton. Family flowers only. Donations in Donna's memory may be made to Valley Hospice, Valley VON, or Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.98, Kingston, NS.
