GRANT, Doris Marie – 96 of Nictaux, passed away at home on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Born in Nictaux, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Gaul) Taylor. Doris was a member of the Nictaux Baptist Church and the Nictaux Baptist Friendly Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and her door was always open to family and friends. Doris will be sadly missed by her family who she dearly loved. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Gil) Noble, Lower Sackville and son, Brian (Mora) Grant, Nictaux; sisters, Madeline Johnson, Nictaux and Ethel (Bob) Jones, Ottawa; grandchildren, Craig, Jody, Carla, Melissa and April; great grandchildren, Olivia, Emily, Adam, Chantal and Bailey; also special friend and caregiver, Darlene Cross. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Tom; sister, Evangeline as well as brothers, Harold, Pat, Robie and Harry. At Doris's request, there will not be any visitation. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Nictaux Baptist Church with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Private interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service at the Church. Donations in memory may be made to the Nictaux Baptist Church or to a charity of choice.
