HARRY, Doris Glendean - 88 of Kingston, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born May 22, 1923 in Upper Clements, Annapolis County she was a daughter of the late Fred and Florence (Orde) Potter. Doris was a member of the Kingston United Church. Doris was a hard worker from an early age. She was a waitress at many establishments including the Queen Ann Inn. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and in recent years, great-grandmother. She loved life, her friends, and especially her family. Through the years she babysat, worked with Cubs and Scouts, Home and School and Kingston Fire Dept. Aux. She is survived by daughter Elaine (Dale) Harty, Greenwood; sons Eric (Linda), Wilmot and Stephen (Sandra), North Kingston; sisters Evelyn Ross, and Phyllis (Jack) Moorehouse both of Kingston. Grandchildren Adrian (Nancy) Harry, Meredith (Paul) Kavanagh, Jeremy (Julie) Harty, Andrew (Norma) Harty, Matthew (Ashley) Harty, Katie Harry and Kristy Harry; step grandchildren Jacob Crowe and Megan Crowe; 3 great grandsons and 1 step-great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her husband Donald "Dick" and brother Clyde. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm Monday, February 20, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 21st in the Kingston United Church, Rev. Michael Mugford officiating, private interment to follow in the North Kingston Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held in the Kingston Fire Hall. By request, family flowers only.
