McINNIS, Doris Mary - age 78 of Greenwood, NS passed away peacefully Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. She was born in Montreal, PQ. Doris was a volunteer for many years at the Nova Scotia Hospital, Dartmouth and Kingston District School. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, loved to sing and was a people person, touching everyone's hearts. Doris is survived her son, Lawrence McInnis, Halifax; grandchildren, Larry, Sean and Michael; dear friend of many years, Lee MacDonald, Head of Jeddore; the Foley and Frontaine families who were her care givers for 16 years and their families became her family. She was predeceased by common-law partner, Clarence John Fewer. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, 37 Gates Avenue, Middleton with Rev. Sweis Ubels officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the Tremont Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of Grand View Manor for their loving care.
