Dorothy Mount, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Kingston, Nova Scotia on June 3rd, 2026, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on July 26th, 1938, in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Poirier) Desveaux. Dorothy was married to her husband Gordon for 62 years. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, John Desveaux; her sisters, Marie-Jeannette, Mary-Ellen and Julie; and son, Sterling. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Gordon; son, Michael; sister, Rita; grandchildren, Cara-Anne, Courtney, Elizabeth, Victoria, Evangeline and Samuel; and numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother, and loved her life, family and friends. She was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness and took great joy in sharing with others the Bible’s hope of God’s promise of a better world. She spent several years as a regular pioneer, which was a highlight of her spiritual life. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 14th, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 337 Highway 1 (Evangeline Trail), Kingston, Nova Scotia.
